Troop 111 will be attending the Wilderness Survival campout hosted by Thunderbird District.
The dates of the campout are January 30 & 31, 2009.
We will assemble at 5:30 PM at St. Sabina and return Saturday evening around 9:00 PM.
As the theme suggests, the scouts should be prepared for elements of the Wilderness Survival Merit Badge which would include building a natural shelter and spending the night in it. This will depend on the weather and available resources. If the scout has already completed this or other requirements, this should be treated as a regular campout.
This event is the “Winter Event” for the district. This is done in place of Klondike and/or skiing.
The permission slip is available here.
